This afternoon we finished installing our new 1.5″ Zebra Mats..
The new mats are 1/2″ thicker than are old mats. This additional padding makes training takedowns more forgiving on the body and provides extra safety against accidental falls.

Also, they have a smoother surface which helps prevent mat burns when doing groundfighting techniques and sparring.

The surface of these mats are also more durable. They’ll be easier to keep extra clean. And hopefully, our mascot cat Shadow shouldn’t be able to scratch these like the previous mats.

With our new mirrors installed last month and these new mats installed today, we are almost done with our end of the year remodel projects for our training center.

We will be ready to provide a top-notch facility for our Krav Maga students in 2023!
