Women’s Self-Defense

Krav Maga Worldwide brings you the KMW Women’s Self-Defense Course: a 4-hour course specifically designed to address the epidemic of violence against women.  The Women’s Self-Defense course aims to build confidence in women, teach them to avoid potentially dangerous situations, and educate them on how to fight back in the event of an assault.  The course includes four detailed lessons: Krav Maga and the Survival Mindset, Awareness and Avoidance, Boundaries, and Fighting Back.  All of these lessons work together toward the ultimate goal of teaching women how to keep themselves safe.

Krav Maga and the Survival Mindset
This lesson introduces you to the structure and goals of the Women’s Empowerment course.  It covers how to tap into your Survival Mindset, deal with your fight, flight, or freeze response, and much more.  This first lesson is crucial in establishing the mindset all women must have in order to protect themselves.

Awareness and Avoidance
This lesson focuses on recognizing your environment and improving your overall awareness. Learn how to trust your instincts. Being aware and knowing how to avoid danger is the absolute best way to keep yourself safe, and this lesson provides women the tools to do that.

This lesson addresses your emotional boundaries with friends, family, and strangers. Establishing strong boundaries is key to recognizing your triggers and building your confidence. This lesson also covers physical and verbal boundaries so that you can figure out what you’re comfortable with in every situation. Also included are ways to remove yourself from situations that make you feel unsafe.

Fighting Back
This lesson addresses what happens if an attack does occur.  Learn a multitude of effective defenses including a variety of punches, kicks, elbows and more.  When all else fails, these powerful tactics will help you to defeat your assailant and protect yourself so that you can get home safely.  Fighting Back dives into techniques essential for every woman’s safety and confidence.
